Key Responsibilities
1. Quality Control & Production Monitoring.
In-process Inspections: Supervise raw material verification (clay bodies, glazes, frits) and oversee in-process testing for shaping, greenware strength, biscuit firing, glazing, and glost firing.
Defect Management: Identify, categorize, and troubleshoot chronic ceramic defects like warping, pinholes, crazing, shivering, specks, and under-firing.
AQL Standards: Implement and enforce strict Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) standards during final random inspections before dispatch.
2. Export Compliance & Testing
Regulatory Testing: Coordinate and verify external laboratory testing for global compliance standards, focusing heavily on lead and cadmium leaching limits.
Thermal & Mechanical Durability: Conduct regular internal audits for vital performance metrics like thermal shock resistance, microwave safety, dishwasher safety, and edge-chip resistance.
Audit Management: Lead factory preparation and documentation for international third-party compliance audits requested by global retail buyers.
Transit & Logistics
Quality Transit Assurance: Oversee dropship and ISTA standard carton-drop tests to guarantee that international packaging, sea-freight master cartons, and inner partitions protect fragile ceramic ware during global shipping.
Traceability: Maintain a robust product batching system to trace final packed products back to specific kiln runs, glaze mixes, and raw material shipments.
